Inventory Templates
When creating a new inventory, you can choose from a set of pre-built templates that include predefined columns tailored to common inventory types. These templates help you set up your inventory faster and provide inspiration for structuring your data.
-
Each template includes preset columns and configurations, such as:
-
Status columns with predefined status options
-
Expiry date columns with reminders enabled
-
-
You can view the included columns by clicking the info icon next to the template name during inventory creation.
-
Inventories created from templates are fully customizable — you can edit, remove, or add columns at any time.
Template options:
-
Default – Starts with an empty inventory (no predefined columns)
-
Cell Lines – Columns suited for storing cell line data
-
Equipment – Columns for managing lab equipment and maintenance
-
Chemicals & Reagents – Columns for tracking chemicals, reagents, and storage
Once your inventory is created, you can begin customizing the columns and adding items to match your workflow needs.
Inventory templates are available to SciNote Premium customers. Free plan users do not have access to this feature.
