In order to support data integrity and traceability, very few elements within SciNote can be deleted - most of them can only be archived, including Projects, Experiments, and Tasks.
Whether or not an item can be deleted will also depend on the user role and permission you hold. With this in mind, the following elements can be deleted:
- comments
- tags
- individual protocol steps
- reports
- results (must be archived first)
- inventory items (must be archived first)
- entire inventories (must be archived first)
Nevertheless, the majority of SciNote data can be archived and restored from the Archive at any time.
Made a typo? Projects, Experiments, and Tasks can all be re-named with the appropriate project access role and if it's active and not archived.
Created a Task by accident? Don't fret! Simply rename and repurpose it for a new experiment in the future. Move Tasks to other Experiments if needed.
