Where can I upload information about lab equipment (e.g. HPLC, UV machine, etc.)?
SciNote inventories can be used to catalog and record information on your laboratory equipment.
We suggest you upload this information into the Inventories. They are personalized repositories that allow you to manage laboratory equipment and even assign instruments to a task or workflow. You can even use Projects, Experiments, and Tasks to record your calibration, validation, and PM activities. By creating custom columns, you can include information that is unique to each item, such as the validation dates for instruments or expiration dates for calibration standards.
Want to be notified when an instrument is due for calibration? Ask you Customer Success Manager about Stock Management and Date Reminders!
You can watch a video tutorial on how to manage inventories below or read more in this FAQ.
You can also view, book, and track the use of your lab equipment, reagents, reference materials, and samples in one shared calendar, so your whole team always knows what's in use, what's available, and what's coming up.
You can plan in daily, weekly, or monthly views and create booking events — for usage, calibration, maintenance, or other purposes — directly from the calendar, an inventory item's toolbar, or the Schedule section on an item card.
Because it follows the same access and permission settings as your underlying inventory, everyone sees exactly what they're meant to. For step-by-step guidance, see here.
