How to Set Your Time Zone

Your activity and audit trail timestamps in SciNote are dependent on your time zone, as well as Task due dates.

SciNote enables you to choose between different time zones, depending on your current location. First, you must know what time zone you are in. If you are not sure, you can check out here.

The default time zone setting is set to +00:00 UTC. To change it to the time zone you are currently in:

  1. Navigate to Settings icon in the top right corner and select My preferences.
  2. From the dropdown, select your time zone.

Setting a time zone for the whole organization

Administrators can set a standard time zone for everyone in the organization. When a time zone is enforced, all members see dates and times in that time zone, and individual members cannot change their own time zone.

To configure this:

  1. Go to Settings > Organization.
  2. In the Time zone section, select one of the following options:
    • Users define their own time zone — each member sets their own time zone under their personal preferences.
    • Enforce time zone for the whole organization — all members use the time zone you select.
  3. If you choose to enforce a time zone, select the time zone from the dropdown.
  4. Click Save.
