All communication between the client and the server is encrypted, which prevents third-party data breaches.  In case you would like to host SciNote locally (not on a cloud), the responsibility for establishing such a mechanism lies on your end. We also **encrypt your data at rest**. Backups of all your data are being made on a daily basis.
