How is my data encrypted in SciNote?

SciNote uses HTTPS protocol to securely transmit data between a client (e.g. your browser) and SciNote's server via secure symmetric cryptography.

All communication between the client and the server is encrypted, which prevents third-party data breaches.

In case you would like to host SciNote locally (not on a cloud), the responsibility for establishing such a mechanism lies on your end.

We also encrypt your data at rest. Backups of all your data are being made on a daily basis. Also, the servers where your data is safely stored and the backup servers are in different locations due to security reasons and protection in case of natural disasters.
