User Groups in SciNote simplify user and permission management within a single workspace. This feature allows workspace Owners to group multiple users together and manage their access to projects, protocols, inventories, and more.
For example, if a team member transfers to a different lab or no longer needs access to certain projects, you can easily remove them from a specific group without affecting their overall workspace membership.
To remove a user from a group:
- Click the Settings icon (gear icon) on the top right.
- Select Groups.
- Click on the name of the group you want to edit.
- You will see a list of all users currently in that group.
- Click on the checkbox next to the user you want to remove.
- A new button will appear at the bottom — click on the Remove option.
- In the confirmation widget that appears, click the red Remove button to complete the action.
Only Workspace Owners can create, edit, or delete user groups within the workspace. Review the full SciNote user roles and permissions table here.
