This creates a more connected and traceable workflow within your tasks.  To learn how to add a result to a task, please refer to [this article.](https://knowledgebase.scinote.net/en/knowledge/how-to-upload-my-results?hsLang=en) #### Linking a Result from a Protocol Step To link an existing result to a protocol step: 1. Navigate to the protocol step you want to link a result to (Protocol tab of a Task) 2. In the dropdown menu under **Results**, select the result(s) you want to link by checking the box(es) 4. Click the icon to view linked results. Clicking on a result's name will take you directly to that result in the Results tab. #### Linking a Protocol Step from the Results Tab To link a protocol step while viewing a result: 1. Navigate to the result you want to link (Results tab of a Task) 2. Click either the **Link to Step** button or the **Linked Steps** icon![Linked Steps Icon](https://knowledgebase.scinote.net/hs-fs/hubfs/Linked%20Steps%20Icon.jpg?width=48&height=38&name=Linked%20Steps%20Icon.jpg) 3. From the **Protocol Steps** dropdown, check the box(es) of the step(s) you wish to associate 4. Click the blue **Link Steps** button #### Managing Existing Links To edit existing links: 1. Click the **Linked Results** or **Linked Steps** icon 2. Select **Manage Links** at the bottom 3. Add or remove links by checking or unchecking the relevant step(s) or result(s) 4. You will still be able to navigate to the archived result. To remove a linked step(s) from an archived result, you must first restore the result to 'active'.
