How to Create Storage Locations

Locations are an inventory add-on that helps you easily visualize, track and manage the precise locations of where your inventory items are stored.

Each location can be broken down into sub-locations, ending with final structural level being a grid box or a freeform box (no grid) to assign inventory items to. 

How to Create a New Location: 

1. Click on the inventories tab in the navigation panel, located on the left side of your screen. 
2. Click "Locations" in the drop down
3. Click the blue "New locations" button
4. Type the location name in the text box
5. Click import or drag a drop a photo of the location (This is optional)
   1. *If you add an image, users can hover their cursor over the name of the Location to preview the uploaded Location
6. Type a location description in the lower text box (This is optional)
7. Click "Create" in the bottom right corner

To Create a Sub-Location:

1. Click on the location name
2. Click the blue "New locations" button
   1. '+ New location'
3. Follow steps 4 to 7 from the previous instructions.

To Create a Box that you will Assign Items to:

1. Click on the location name 
2. Click "New box" next to the "new locations" button
3. Type the box name in the text box
4. Select "Grid" for items to have an exact location assignment, select "no grid" to assign items to a general location
   1. If you select "grid" enter the size of the box in the boxes behind!! (e.g., 12 x 12)
5. Follow steps 5 - 7 above
