[Using SciNote](https://knowledgebase.scinote.net/en/knowledge/using-scinote?hsLang=en) # How to Change Tag Colors ## To help you managing tags and use them as better visual indications, you can choose their color. In SciNote, task colors are controlled through tags. You can change a tag's color either from inside the task details or directly from the task card. Follow the steps below for each method. To change the color of a task from inside the task: 1. Click the arrow next to the **Details** section to expand the window. 2. Click **Add Tag** and select or create a tag to assign it to the task. If a tag is already assigned, skip to step 3. 3. To change the tag color, click **Edit Tags**. 4. In the list of tags, **click** the small colored square next to the tag name. A color selection window will appear. 5. **Click** on your preferred color to apply it. The available color options are shown in the color picker. Multiple tags can share the same color. To change the tag color from the task card: 1. Navigate to your **task card**. 2. Click the **tag icon** in the upper-right corner of the task. 3.
