How to Archive and Delete Inventories and Items

When no longer needed or in-stock, inventories and items can be archived and deleted. If not deleted, archived inventories and items can be restored.

In order to archive and subsequently delete an inventory, you must be a Team Owner. Inventory item archival and deletion may be completed by a Team Owner or Normal user. 

To Archive an Inventory (must be done prior to deletion if applicable): 

  1. Enter the Inventories by clicking the Inventories icon in the left navigation bar.
  2. Select the inventory(s) you wish to archive by checking the box(s). 
  3. Click Archive.

Items in an archived inventory maintain inventory assignment to tasks. 

To Delete or Restore an Inventory:

  1. Enter the Inventories by clicking the Inventories icon in the left navigation bar.
  2. In the top right corner, click on View.
  3. From the drop down, click Show archived inventories.
  4. Select the inventory(s) you wish to restore or delete by checking the box(s). 
    Note: If deleting, only one can be deleted at a time.
  5. Click on Restore or Delete, depending on the targeted action.

Once deleted, an inventory cannot be restored. All item task assignments will be lost.

To Archive an Inventory Item (must be done prior to deletion if applicable):

  1. Enter the inventory which contains the item(s) you wish to archive.
  2. Select the item(s) you wish to archive by checking the box(s) next to the item(s).
  3. At the top of the inventory, click Archive.

To Delete or Restore an Inventory Item:

  1. Enter the inventory which contains the item(s) you wish to delete or restore.
  2. In the top right corner, click on View
  3. From the drop down, click Show archived items.
  4. Select the inventory item(s) you wish to restore or delete by checking the box(s). 
  5. Click on Restore or Delete, depending on the targeted action

Once deleted, an inventory item cannot be restored. Item task assignment will be lost.
